Since its inception in 2007, the Alpine frame has gained legendary status amongst hard riding mountain bikers as a do anything, go anywhere hardtail mountain bike frame.

This latest, third generation of the Alpine, builds on that legend.

Designed to accommodate a 120-160mm travel suspension fork (quoted geometry is based on a 140mm travel fork, sagged 25%), the backbone of the new Alpine remains a mix of Reynolds 853 air-hardened top tube and down tube and 4130 cro-moly seat stays and chain stays.

However, a Reynolds 631 air-hardened XX44 head tube comes into

play to make the Alpine compatible with all current fork

steerer tubes.
