dialled bikes 853 (prince albert) specification and geometry
dialled bikes technical spec
When dialled bikes started its two man 4X team in 2005 (Steve Taylor and Paddy Baker) there was one minor hitch - dialled bikes didn't have a 4X frame in its line up. So Steve and Paddy rode small/15.5" Prince Albert frames, with Steve ending the season National No.6 in Elite and Paddy No.5 in Masters.

Once the 2005 season was over we exchanged ideas about what the team liked about the Prince Albert and what they'd like to see on a 4X frame and in December 2005 the first Holeshot prototypes were made. Steve and Paddy raced these at the 2005/6 Sheffield Indoor Winter Series and the team finished second overall. A good start. We then tweaked the geometry a few more times over the 2006 season (eventually going through two further iterations of the prototype) and the team raced them over the 2006 UK NPS 4X Series. Paddy again finished National No.5 in Masters but Steve blitzed his 2005 ranking by finishing National No.3 in Elite and being chosen by the British Cycling Federation to represent Great Britain at the 2006 European 4X Championships.

So that's how the Holeshot 4X frame came about. A frame designed for 4X riders by 4X riders.
